Does anyone know if it is possible to convert car gas to aviation fuel (octane boosters and lead additives). It has been my dream to fly to the Russian far east but they dont sell 100LL anywhere.

I would probably not fly my pitts there but based on my A&P power plant study you risk detonation if you run just straight car gas without significant modification to the compression ratios (which messes up your power output).

Are there common things that can be purchased and added to car gas or brought with that are small enough to carry alot of?

The main thing is avoiding detionation in the motor.
