    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Question for all.

I bought a skybolt project that was disassembled for re-cover. The previous owner had the wings, control surfaces and fuselage covered through the first poly-brush coat using the stits process. The project sat for a few years and mice got into the wings. I had to uncover the wings and found they had used ceconite 102 instead of poly fabric. Should I recover them using C102? Remove and recover everything using heavy polyfiber? Should I use polyfiber on the wings and not worry about mis-matched fabric? The steen people suggested I post the question here.
