I Came across an amazing condition cowl from a cessna t50 bobcat and i couldn't let it pass... i just am not sure its suited for this girl!?
Ill include some pictured and would be open to some creative criticism/s , sporty, nostalgic etc..
Ive completed /moved the battery behind the pilots seat 28lbs plus the cage materials construction so aprox 30ish lbs ,
and also created a saddle tank oil reservoir ~4.5usg side slung behind fw @aprox16" cg , tucked under the fwd fuse side skin , tanks 7.6lbs, &aprox 27lbs oil,
These moves were in offset of ~500lbs of iron up front.
The lines seem to work imo, but kinda remind me of a 195 cessna minus the cowl bumps lol
I do like the open engine look, very 30's ish'... but fully understand the naca cowl principals, cruize cooling etc , some small gains again ,but offset by weight( addnl 30ish lbs), and more heat sink and more work to expose for any insp or minor maint..
My wife thinks it suits it and its not to fat looking lol, .. i dont want the jake duster having ill feelings towards me or being self conscious befor going out on dates 😂 with a big ole shnoz!
Of course wb will overide everything in the end but always nice hearing different opinions.
Letter rip, curious whats yer thoughts...
Martin.
