My Champ didn't sell in time for my relocation flight, so I'm renting a carport hangar for N645LC to live in while I deal with the Champ after my return. Harvey Field requires that I have cowl plugs to cover the air inlets, but the current owner of the Charger doesn't have any. I don't know if anyone makes pre-made plugs for the wide "gaping mouth" cowling on this Charger, so I'm thinking of just making my own. Anyone have recommendations on either premade plugs, or what's a good material for this? I'm tempted to just get some box store 2" insulating foam and shave that down to fit until I can find a better solution, but I'd love to hear thoughts if there's something better around.
