I'm having a engine overhauled on a clipped wing cub I maintain and am looking at what colors to do the case and cylinders? The cub is standard cub yellow with the exposed J-3 black eyebrows. What do y'all think looks best? Contenintal Gold on case and cylinders? Gold on case with black barrels and alodined heads? Cub yellow case with black barrels and alodine heads? Any and all opinions welcome. Pics would be great! The old engine was Lycoming grey and silver cylinders and didn't really look right although I know some of the old Cubs did have battleship grey cases.
