    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).

Hi Hatz builders,
While building our Vintage Hatz, a modified Classic with wingtips similar to the Waco QCF, I built our own mouldings to laminate a « 3-dimensional wingtip bow, which follows the profil’s scelettal slope (the bow doesn’t lie in a plane, you see a curved slope when looking at the tip). This is a 7 ply pine laminate with a rectangular section to be shaped after installation.
In addition I also made press mouldings to pressglue 3-ply birch leading edge plankings at the wing tip near the leading edge. There are 4 top and 4 bottom convex 1/16 Inch
ply plankings.
I this I am building those parts for an European Hatz Classic builder, who also is building his wings ends identical to our designs.
Anyone internstes? Please email to Hans.u at aeroplaneworks.ch. Pictures available.
