I have a picture of my father's first solo flight in a two seater bi-plane which apparently landed on my grandfather's ranch in Alberta Canada.

I have always wondered what type of plane it was. It has a large G on the tail, and the letters G Cais on the body.

I would very much appreciate knowing if possible.

I am making a scrapbook for my granddaughter's wedding, of her ancestors and including the information I know.

Hope I am not intruding in this forum, thought I would come to the experts.:D
