    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).

I haven't posted anything on this site for a long time but I'm finally getting going strong on my project...have 8 upper and 5 lower ribs built! Sooo excited! Anyway...

Could one of you Skybolt Delta builders post a picture of, or explain, the upper wing butt ribs? Stuck on 2 issues. First, the nose rib. Does it attach flush to the inside of the rib with full 1/16" sheeting on the inside, then sheeted aft of the nose rib on the outside? Plans show the nose rib is 1/4", I assume that is correct.

Second, what is the cap strip width? Drawing 404/1 shows 5/8", drawing 404/2 shows 1/2". I assume it's 1/2" since the upright ahead of the front spar is shown as 1/4", which when added to the nose rib would then, of course, be 1/2" total width.

Thanks!
