We have an NPT/ANfitting that will be located inside our upper fuel tank to connect our vent line. We have made a custom two-sided welding flange that will allow us to attach an AN816 nipple on one side and an AN822 elbow on the other. We are looking for a sealant for the NPT threads that will be sitting in Avgas. ACS lists Dow 730 Solvent Resistant sealant as a viable option. The stuff is 92 bucks for 3 ounces! Does anyone have another sealant that will work in those conditions or do we just bite the bullet?


Any help is appreciated.
