Has anyone had problems with cables running dual tach setups? I just bought this Skybolt and noticed when it got here the tach was jumping around. I undid the cable from the tach drive on the engine and found the cable was broken. I ordered a couple of inner tach cables and they unwound theirself within 30 minutes. Well I found that I needed a right lay instead of the left lay on my setup. I ordered a new cable with the correct dirrection twist and knew my problem was fixed. Well today it crapped out in 5 minutes. I don't know if its a problem with the engine tach drive, the drive splitter or one of the tachs???? So now I am thinking about running a cable straight to the rear tach only or just install a digital tach? Anyone have any simular problems? The cable seems to rotate very free when I put it in without binding. Its hard to tear the plane apart to check everything, I need to be flying.
