Guys,
The EAA Bipe I’m helping a buddy recover has the J-3 type bungee gear (bungees exposed below the fuselage).
We’re discussing changing the bungees out for a die-spring set up. Not and engineer, and didn’t stay in a Holiday Inn last night, so looking for advice on what strength and spring rate springs I should consider
Have a local source for 4 inch 1K lbs/0.7 inch springs……too stiff…or not enough?
