Chapter 292 had there annual fly-in at Independence Oregon this last week end the 19th and 20th, in the past son Dan and I have attended several of them. This years fly-ins theme was a STOL contest , held on Sunday from 9:00 to 1:00, they had some interesting airplanes that were there on Saturday the day before, and their were no biplanes attending with the exception of mine. However there were several biplanes on display and one was this incredible Bristol Fighter a reproduction that was right in most every detail, it took the builder 20 years to complete. Also a WWI F.E.-2b, and an all original Travel Air 4000 with a Wright J-6, along with a little girl that had a blue biplane with a yellow radial cowl, but she kept hiding her face and I did not get a good picture of her. I think she could have won the STOL contest. I have pictures of several STOL airplanes, and will post them if some one is interested or wants to see them.. Dave
