Hi,
My airplanes rear cockpit has a conventional cable driven tach running to the Lyc. O-320-A1A engine.

The front cockpit has a tach that doesn't work and that I want to replace. The wiring from this tach was previously removed.

What 2-1/4" tach can I replace it with? And how is the RPM measured from the engine? I found several electric tachs in A.C.S. but they all reference use with specific ignition systems. Can someone help me out on a from tach solution for my plane?

Thanks,
Glenn
