Hi, well it was a big milestone today for me!Finally after over a year of my engine sitting in the engine shop, and visits on weekends to work on it, we finally finished and ran it up today. It's an 0-360-a1ad converted to a TBI for fuel injection and a superior cold air intake/sump system. I brought it in from Germany where it had been on ice since the early 90's, and we stripped it down to nuts and bolts and rebuilt it up over the past year.Everything went smoothly. Took2 halfdays to move the engine from its stand onto the test bench (on the back of a truck), connect everything up, double check everything, fill with hot oil, and go for a drive onto the apron to fire it up.I'm pretty impressed with the Rotec throttle body fuel injector. Started almost immediately every time - even after a 1 hour run at full throttle. I put a few videos on my site, but here is a pic of the occasion :)

Results - still working out the calcs, but with 10:1 pistons and the cold air induction system / rotec TBI, we achieved 2850 rpm with MP of 29" with the test prop using just the stock straight test exhausts. Not sure how much, if anything, the 4-1 will add on top of that, kinda distracted with deafning sound of it at full tilt .. quite staggering. I thought I was used to the sound of big engines after my Yak's M14p.. but this little sucker blew me away.
