I have just attempted to fabricate the 2" aluminum strip that attaches the windshild to my AS1. It didn't come out too bad, but it doesn't look like it was rolled out of a press either, so it needs to be faired. My question is what it the best material to fair aluminum? I've noticed that some compounds don't seem to stick well. I like using kitty-hair Bondo as it seems tough and doesn't crack easily because of the fine fibers, but don't know how if it will last on aluminum. I'v also been told it would be best to prime the aluminum before fairing as the compound will stick better. Any info will be appreciated. Garry
