My engine always starts idles and runs fine when cold and preflight. While taxiing in, however, I frequently have trouble with it idling properly without poping or backfire type of complants. Why might this be?
My usual ops is after moderate aeros, I Normally fly for about 10 min at about 2200 rpm(fixed pitch). When I land I pull the throttle to idle abeam the numbers and keep it there till taxi in. The idle mixture is set properly. I can't imagine my head temps being hot...

Thanks
