I’m in the process of rebuilding my Marquart Charger. It’s essentially a ground up restoration. Right now I’m working on building a new wing but I’m also building a new firewall. My biggest challenge with respect to that is how to make the formers (part no. 921). It appears on the plans that the former is 3/4”x 3/8” U-channel. Since I was unable to find that online, I bought 3/4”x 3/4” square tubing and cut it in half and then tried to form it to the shape of the firewall. It was difficult to fit so I’d be interested to know what some of you have done in this situation. Would it be possible to use 3/4” 90 degree aluminum angle instead? If you have pictures, that would help, also.
