Hey Guys,
my engine mount didn't really fit from the first second on. I can get to top two bolts in and have to litereally hammer in the lower ones by keeping the engine mount as far away from the fueslage as possible. I'd say the holes are about 0.08" (~2 mm) off. It's possible to hammer it all together, but it sure doesn't feel like it should be that way...
I hammered it all together, torqued the bolts and used a gas torch and heated up the joints and tubing in the close area around the bolt holes, to allow them to maybe settle a bit or normalize. It didn't really help besides the bolts and nuts going to the bin afterwards of course. I heard that it is kind of normal that it won't really fit that good - but how much is too much? I'm really thinking of cutting one or two tubes and weld them together again to get rid of that misalignment. I fear cracks that might appear later, especially since the gear legs (Wolf / Vans-Style) are attached to the engine mount, too.
Thanks ahead for your oppinion!
