Guys I have finally completed assembly of my Acro II and have a question that my AP asked and I want to be sure I was correct in my answer. I tensioned my flying wires using the method I have read about on the forum of a fish scale pulling at the center point of the wire and having a 1/2 to 3/4" deflection of the wires. What concerned him is that he thinks the wires are not tight enough (knowing that I will be doing aerobatics in the plane) and I told him I did not want to put undo stress on the spars and that this method works for others building Acro's. Am I correct?
This has been a real process. Thought I would be flying by now but having to work and the plane being at the airport now instead of my garage has slowed progress. My trunk is heavy with tools since there is no where to leave them in my open hanger at the airport. So much for flying it this spring as it is now summer.
