    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).

Have 4' x 8' sheet of .025 2024-T3 and a good paper pattern for my turtledeck. Looking for suggestions how to form the spine of the turtledeck to the correct radius. Much larger radius at the headrest than at the tubing that forms the LE of the vertical fin. Skybolt News suggests two radii to use at the front and back, but I'm not sure of the best way to form this bend with an ever decreasing radius. Sure many of you have tackled this problem with success. I just don't want to screw it up on first try on an expensive piece of aluminum. Thanks to all.
