Fuel gage gas cap,,, anything besides the pipe cub wire type ?

My Baby Great Lakes has the standard wire on a float piper cub fuel indicator.... Is there such a thing as a more modern type of cap/gage device that actually lets you see fuel level, without having a hole in the top of your gas cap ?
