I've got a fuel gauge that I'm planning on using for my wing tank that is like you'd see on a Stearman wing tank. There's a sight tube sticking out the bottom of the tank, then there's a wire inside it that's connected to a cork float. I bought one of these from Wag Aero, but it was a little too long. When I cut the wire, I lost the little red bulb at the end. This little red bulb was a drop of melted aluminum with red paint on it...should be easy enough to duplicate. Do any of you know of a red paint that is submersible in fuel? I was thinking of using some West Systems epoxy with some red dye in it but surely there is a better way.
