I recently purchased N53JP, and am slowly familiarizing myself with her systems.
Regarding one them, I remain baffled.
It's the fuel selector. On its left side, there is a knob at the end of an arm that attaches at right angle to a shaft that rotates from within the valve body on a horizontal and lateral axis. I first found the arm and knob positioned upward to the vertical position, and pushed forward. I found the knob and arm would rotate with resistance to 90 degrees forward, and back again. It seems to me this is likely a manual fuel pump, built as part of the fuel selector valve. However, I've found nothing online that confirms for me that any such devices have been built. Does anyone have insight on this?
