LSA regs are supposed to allow for simple easy to fly aircraft to encourage new pilots to want to learn how to fly right? So why is it that a Sopwith Pup falls within LSA but a Cessna 150 does not? Seems the regs were not all that well thought out. My 2c is some FAA types were looking to unload their own Champs and Cubs and wanted to increase their value, could be wrong but it seems to me a 150 is easier to fly than a champ even though it stalls at a higher speed. Anyone want to chime in?
