I fueled last Sunday and when I got back in the plane I smelled gas. I unbuckled and checked the front hole and saw a small drip coming from the top of the tank where the sending unit is attached to the tank. I got a rag and cleaned up the spill and it stopped dripping after a few min. I called my A&P Monday and told him I was grounded until he could look and fix the problem.
Today he told me the seal was bad on the sending unit and he was going to replace.
I got this picture of him working on it and a note about the cost of inverted maintenance that I would see on my next bill.

I Just got a laugh out of the picture.
