Gents:
For the fifth year now I've sworn to get heat in my hangar before winter and here it is Labor Day and again I haven't moved the ball. Obstacles: I don't have a gas line readily available to the hangar, nor do I have 220v service (both fixable of course).
Originally, I was thinking of radiant heat on the ceiling but someone told me that it does a number on fabric covered airplanes. So, I've been more focused on the Modine gas heaters and biting the bullet to have a gas line run. Two questions:
1. Is radiant heat indeed harmful to tube 7 raggers?
2. Any opinions/recommendations for heating a 30 x 40 hangar to a reasonable temp (55-60?)? It is insulated, but it's also New England.
Thanks -
