For you aerobatic guys...what is your feeling about smooth-surface heel pads under the rudder pedals? I have aluminum floorboards and am considering adding Polished Stainless Steel heel pads. For a few reasons...

  • I think it will look bitchen
  • I think it will make quick rudder pedal inputs smoother and easier
  • I already have the material and it will be good practice with polishing
  • It gives me a break from doing what I really should be doing...fabric work:eek:
I've already considered the weight penalty and am willing to accept that penalty if it makes sense to do it otherwise.

Thanks in advance.
