    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).

I want to build a Pitts S1T, and I have no idea where to start.

Aerobatics is my life. Owning my own airplane would be amazing, but owning one that I built would be the biggest accomplishment of my life, and is a dream I've had since as far back as I can remember.

But I have no experience. In truth I have no idea what questions to even ask. I've never built an airplane, and have little to no experience with it. Where do I start? What do I need? Is there a book or manual I should have and where can I get it? About the only thing I know is that this will not happen overnight. I'm planning two years of work at the least. I'm a member of the IAC, and the EAA, and I'm going to my first EAA meeting this Thursday, and I look forward to asking them questions as well.

Any input is appreciated. Thank you all for helping this dream become reality.
