Today a gent came to my shop and told me about a Skybolt that is going to come up for sale soon. Maybe in another couple weeks.

It was a complete, flying airplane until the owner got RV fever and decided to use the IO-360 to power his new flying beer-can.

Add to that the fabric had been painted with Imron when built.

I have not viewed it yet, so cannot comment on workmanship. Right now I am thinking of it as a plane, less FWF, that needs a complete recover. And I am thinking... around $3000.

I know a lot more time and money goes into building one, but when you look at the resale value and look at the cost of new FWF and a complete recover - well ?

What do you guys think?
