    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Down for inspection. I get a lot of kick back on starting so I pulled out the impulse coupler which is about 60 hours old. I have not had a chance to look at it but the pegs it hits are not worn. I read somewhere a long time ago, probably light plane maintenance, that some engines will spin too fast and the fingers on the coupler will not extend far enough to grab the pins. This Toyota starter spins it pretty good. Only propped it a few times but it does not kick back and starts fine. I am sure I got the right part #. Will check it good tonight. Ideas and suggestions welcome. 320.
