I talked to my insurance guy (Sky Smith) today and...

Just for hull insurance on the S1-11B they want 1200 a year (plan is not yet complete) and after I gasped, I asked about what it would be if it was flying and he said nobody would cover it all because of the lack of hours. I did tell them the eventual pilot (flyapitts) has 50 hrs in a S2 and would go for more training before it flew and said he check again.

Where and how is anyone insuring:
any Pitts/Eagle or variant
and Pitts S1-11B.

is there like a go to insurance company/agent that I should check with?
