Hi all,

I'm new on this forum and thinking about a Pitts. I do have an aviation/ machinist background and heavy tailwheel time.

Can anyone who has a set of Steen Aero laminated spars tell me how many laminations they use and the spar width and thickness. I have access to some great Doug Fir that meets A/C specs in regards to slope and growth rings. I know it can be substituted for spruce, and the lengths required would easily be achievable to acquire without scarfing.

Any help is appreciated. Also does anyone have a list of all the required tubing or bill of materials? I'm just looking for a general accounting of lineal feet of various size tubing needed.

Thanks,

John H.
