Sorry for the grainy photos but good enough for my purpose. S-2B with 3000 hours TTAF. These are the front MLG attach fittings at the lower longeron, left and right. The 3/8" bolt that secures the gear leg to the fuselage does not appear to be in the center of the bushing (lug) that's welded to the longeron in this location. Both appear to be displaced a significant amount toward the middle of the airplane. Can anyone familiar with the S-2 comment on these photos? Is this normal for the S-2 or is this wear? Can anyone tell me if I can remove the 3/8" bolt without taking the bungees off the gear? Likely I will raise the main wheels off the ground and check this location for side-to-side movement. Thanks.
