    Why become a Subscribing Member?

    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Folks, new to the BiplaneForum, but not new to the Marquart Charger.

Owned a sweet one years ago, N82ND from 1993-1997; bought it from a retired Eastern captain, the late Bob Tisdale. He bought it from the builder, Richard Shutt, and flew it to Griffin, GA from Riverside, CA (at least I think that's right.)

82ND had/has an O-360 in it. Found during my first condition inspection that the engine mount ring was for an O-320 and the -360 was just kind of bolted on there. Had a proper ring fitted by Kosola in Albany, GA. Also, the Ole Fahlin prop was used up (made a nice wall clock!) so I went with a nice Aymar-DeMuth.

Anyway....short story long, after going through a Pitts S-1T and an RV-3, I wish I'd not succumbed to the "grass is always greener" itch and just kept "Old Eastern." So....back in the market looking for a MA-5.

If anyone decides to sell, keep me in mind.

Cheers,
Randy
