This is a thread I am creating to document the repair of a small exhaust leak I noticed coming from between the gasket and the cylinder exhaust flange on my O-320.

I noticed some exhaust residue near the spark plug on my #2 cylinder. Rapco Blowproof Gaskets were installed at the time.

I removed the exhaust stacks and the 4:1 exhaust system from the airplane. This revealed some pitting around the exhaust flanges on several of the cylinders.

I will be resurfacing the flanges this weekend using a exhaust port resurfacing tool that I rented for $70 from Rulon Aviation, Salem, IA - 1(800)888-6002

Pics to follow.
