I have searched the forum and I couldn’t find the answer to this question. Can anyone point me to a thread or maybe provide an answer? I am sure it must have been discussed before.

I have an O-320 -H2AD engine. I need to replace the tach drive cable but I can’t figure out if I need a right lay or left lay. I figure that for a Lycoming O-320 it should be standard.

I have been told how to check the lay but the engine is currently 4500 miles away in a box. I plan to install the engine in a few weeks and I would like to order the cable now so that it is available when I need it.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Chris
