    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

For those rebuilding a Standard Flange (Narrow Deck) O360 the main bearing listed first in parts catalog PC-106 is part number LW11020. This is a bearing for the Wide Deck engine and will not work in the Narrow Deck case. This bearing can prevent the case from closing by as much as .020". I learned this the hard way.

The correct bearing for the Narrow deck case is LW 10124 and is listed in PC-106 as an Alternate bearing.

The difference is the Wide Deck bearing has a round location hole and the Narrow Deck bearing has an elongated location hole that allows for variables in location of the bearing dowels.
