Is carb heat a necessity for M14P engine installations which use the Russian pressure carb and is it used on the Model 12?
I'm looking at a Yak-55 (yes, it is missing a wing but it has a neat engine 😂 and I learned that they don't have the same door on the air box for carb heat that the Yak-52 does. I was wondering if that would be a concern in the Pacific Northwest?
The Russian solution was a ground installed fixed carb heat when ice is likely but that isn't ideal.
