I have recently completed a Marquart Charger and now have 17 hours on her. I have a flying wire that is vibrating so am re-tensioning the tie rods. I am using a tensiometer and have set the rods to ~500-600 pounds of tension. Does anyone know if this is correct for a 1/4x28 streamline tie rod. I see the use of 600 pounds of tension for the Pitts and Skybolt, but I do not know if they use the 1/4 in or 5/16 inch rods. I don't want to over stress the wires. Any help wouod be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
