    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).

I just got some used Matco 6.00X6 wheels and brakes from a buddy of mine. They need rebuilding.I have a couple questions. The bearings are in good shape except for the plastic backing on them are chewed up.Do I need to replace the bearings?
Where is a good palce to get some bearings?Do they need to be aircraft quality?
Also does the back bearing have a seal like a regular wheel bearing. And is there a washer between the front bearing and nut.
