OK, so looky here, besides my Pitts project I am also covering a wild-ass hell bent for leather Milicoupe - like the one Bud Dake had a few years back. The owner wants me to double cover it. So, in all the aeroplanes I have covered over the last 45 years I have never done this particular process. Here is my question:

At the point where I would normally do the first brush coat of poly-brush... I was told at OSH this year to thin poly-tack and brush that in instead... man, that just don't sound right. What do you guys think? Anybody actually done the double cover process?
