    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

After getting further into my Skybolt restoration project I'm running into several differences such as no mass balance tabs, only 2 stringers (as opposed to 3 or 5) and slave struts that look more like those of the Starduster; they are attached directly to the ailerons, aft of the aileron hinge ( as opposed to the Skybolt which are forward of the hinge). I would like some feedback as to whether or not I should revert back to the traditional Skybolt slave strut.
