    Why become a Subscribing Member?

    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

All the talk about chutes made me start to address my parachute issues. I had my chutes rejected by a rigger for some corrosion on the hardware.
Thanks to Wes, and doing some research I now feel like I've got good info and my older chutes are safe and useable.
See this link www.parachuteshop.com/life_limits_parachutes.htm
Don Mayer got clarification from the FAA and the letter is attached.
Good info.
