Evening guys,

I just drilled a row of pilot holes in my wooden instrument panel to install a row of Tyco W31 switchable breakers. I now can see that the thickness of the panel wouldn't allow the threaded bushing to extend past the face of the panel to allow the installation of the mounting nut. I know I'm not the first.

My first thought is to bore the front side of the hole wide enough to allow the washer to fit in the hole I.D. , then install the nut recessed half way into the panel.

I suppose the other option is to cut away that area of the panel and install a sheet metal plate.

Hit me with some hints or examples guys.

Dan.
