    Why become a Subscribing Member?

    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Originally built and owned by the late Art Teulon in the Fort Lauderdale, FL area in 3/79. Art built this aircraft primarily for IAC competition. He sold it to his friend Jim Gunnoe of Ocala, FL in April, 1987. I bought this fun airplane in June, 2017, and it now resides in the Chicago suburban area. It had an MTV-9 propeller installed on it in 2001. If anyone has any early pictures of this plane, I would love to see them. It's been basically the same paint scheme, with the now-absence of some small blue pinstriping, all of it's life.

Year: 1979
Model: Steen Skybolt
Engine: Lycoming IO-540
