Hi all,

First is this the best place on the web to find acrosport knowledgeable people?

I just got a new 2015 (42 hrs flying time) Acrosport II. It is my third homebuilt, I own one other now, a Cozy IV canard. I thought I would get the Acrosport for a different mission, i.e. open cockpit taildragger.

I have a few questions and I am sure I will have more.

For now I just have one question: what is the accepted way to make the cockpit opening edges, under the coaming, strong enough to avoid damage by lifting a person in out? The plans show 3/8" Al tubing pop riveted to the edge, but my Acrosport doesn't even have that, just a sheet metal edge with pleather covered foam; no structure.

Thanks,
Del Schier
