So after getting back flying a couple years ago, returning from 12+ year layoff, I decided to build something 'sporty' for fun. I have a partnership in a Piper Dakota that I can use to travel and bring a couple friends along. I was originally thinking RV8. Bought a tail and tools and was getting started when I went to an IAC contest at Rome, GA KRMG. I thought that looks like too much fun....and the RZ8 will take forever to build and still not be ideal for competition acro..... hmmm. Plus biplanes are cooler and I wont have to learn to fly overhead breaks..... Sold the RV kit and went looking for a Pitts, et al to finish.

Then I found this Skybolt fuse on gear, with what turns out to be a ton of extra parts. Instruments, Polyfiber resins, spar/aileron, hardware, tail wheel, etc...

So now I am building a Skybolt. Be prepared for lots of dumb questions....and a few stupid ones too...

Unloading from the truck... that's my Cousin helping out.

I am hoping to get started really finishing the fuse, cabanes, etc and get started on the ribs over the winter. If she is flying in 2 years I will be happy.

Need to start acro school and get some time in before then anyway.

Thanks in advance for all the help....
