Highly modified (before me) O-290-D2 on my 1964 Pitts restoration. The inverted system looks to be primarily pre-Christian, home-brew. The O-290 has the front crankcase breather Vent and the original installation ran that into the slobber pot. The inverted oil comes from a home made vacuum pump pad adaptor. I just noticed that the Christian system plugs the front vent and T’s into the vacuum pump adaptor for both vent and oil. Looking for thoughts on changing my set up to be similar to the more modern install. Advantages? Does the vacuum pad adaptor have to be larger? Always wondered why the crankcase breather line is such a large ID….seems overkill for venting, but perhaps I’m overlooking the reason.
