Has anyone ever thought about using off the shelf motorcycle parts to build a radial engine. Like taking the pistons and cylinders from a Harley Davidson the valves and push rods etc. After all a Harley engine is nothing more than a radial engine minus a few cylinders. You would have to come up with a crankcase, cam, and crankshaft but it seems like you could reduce the cost of a radial engine considerably by using those parts readily available from motorcycles. Just thinking out loud, what do the rest of you think?
