An issue I’ve been hoping to fix for a while.
Lycoming 360 Christen inverted oil system with c/s prop.
Oil pressure good when inverted.
in a vertical climb entered from upright the oil pressure holds, just starting to drop at the top of the climb , about 1500ft.
in a vertical climb entered from inverted oil pressure drops much more rapidly.
I assumed this problem was due to the oil valve being mounted flush on the firewall , so laying horizontal in a vertical climb.
So I mounted it on a bracket at 15 degrees leaning forward. It still loses pressure when pushing up from inverted and holding vertical.
any thoughts or experience of how to fix this ?
